Overview of Funding
The Student Success Funds at Washington University in St. Louis offers students access to additional funding to support opportunities and emergency needs as they arise.
The Student Success Fund is comprised of several funds, some of which were created by private donors. Each fund has restrictions on what we can cover and limits on how much money we can offer per request.
We cannot pay Tuition at Washington University or other institutions, Rent, Parking or any reccurring bills like utilities or cell phone, or expenses that are not necessary for student success such as Airpods and iPads. All requests should be single payment request with the exception of mental health expenses.
All textbooks/course fees/materials, etc. requests must go through Student Financial Services. Student Success Funds cannot traditionally cover these items.
1. Determine if the actual amount you have spent on textbooks/course fees, materials, etc., cost exceeds the budgeted amount in the semester’s cost of attendance.
(Your award letter will show what each semester’s budgeted amount is for books/supplies.
