To foster a full and fulfilling, enriching and engaging experience for each and every Washington University student

Welcome to the Office for Student Success! Whether you are a Washington University student, member of the staff or faculty, campus partner, or prospective family we are excited to work with you.

Launched in 2016, under the leadership of Assistant Provost Anthony Tillman, the Office for Student Success creates an infrastructure of support to assist all Washington University students with their transition to and through college. The office, which is an extension of the Office of the Provost, offers programming that cuts across many different layers of the student experience, including social programming, targeted academic support, and professional development opportunities. Furthermore, we are interested in understanding and addressing student success within the campus culture through intentional research efforts.

Our view of student success is expansive and holistic. We adhere to the belief that success in students’ academic and non-academic fronts impact and inform one another. The Office for Student Success uses this understanding to guide our approach in various programs and initiatives.

We invite you to learn more about the work that we do. Feel free to visit our Student Success Lounge, which is open during regular business hours; schedule a meeting with anyone from our staff team; or email inquiries to the Coordinator for Student Success at
