Effective October 9, 2023,  Dr. Jennifer Alanis will serve as the interim executive director for the Taylor Family Center for Student Success. 

Alanis joins Washington University from Harvey Mudd College where she most recently served as the assistant vice president for student affairs and Title IX coordinator. 

“Dr. Alanis has spent a career dedicated to student success and brings a wealth of higher education knowledge to WashU. I know that her leadership will undoubtedly open many pathways of opportunity for our students,” said associate vice chancellor for student affairs, Mark Kamimura-Jiménez.

Announced in March 2023, The Taylor Family Center for Student Success creates new opportunities for first-generation and low income (FLI) undergraduate students. Additionally, The Taylor Family Center connects undergraduate students with mentors, provides opportunities to strengthen social and professional networks, and helps students explore internships.
